I worked as program officer for Brethren Colleges Abroad (BCA), a study abroad program provider based in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. While there I became very interested in connecting international education and peace studies. I concluded my time at BCA by taking the lead in organizing the Peace and Justice Studies Association conference there in 2007.

After my time at BCA I assumed the position of Director of International Programs at Emmanuel Boston. Following my tenure there I accepted the position of Director of Study Abroad and Global Learning at Western Kentucky University. In 2013 I moved to Cuba to work as Resident Director for Spanish Studies Abroad. Throughout my career of nearly 20 years in the field of international education, I have enjoyed writing articles and delivering presentations on all aspects of this very fascinating profession.
